DescriptionCulms 20-50 cm tall, tufted, with 1-2 culm leaves; leaves about 2 mm broad; panicle lax, branches glabrous, naked at base; spikelets about 3 mm long, violet; lemma and palea of about same length, or slightly shorter than glumes; rachilla minutely pubescent, long; anthers about 1 mm long.
