DescriptionSimilar to A. canina L., but densely tufted, with short subterranean runners; panicle branches less scabrous or glabrous; leaf blades 0.5-2 mm broad; ligules 0.5-2 mm long, shorter than in A. canina; panicle more or less contracted; lemma with conspicuous awn fixed at or below middle; anthers 1-1.5 mm.
EcologyMeadows and moist places. Described from Baikal.
