DescriptionSimilar to C. neglecta, but culm usually shorter; panicle purplish-black when young; glumes with gradually narrowed tip, lustrous, glabrous or with few short spines on keel only; lemma more membranous at tip; ligules very short; panicle branches often more sparsely scabrous to nearly glabrous.
