DescriptionTufted, glabrous or essentially so; basal leaves short, narrow; ligules long; panicle oblong, open in age; lowest panicle branches 2-3 together, slender, scabrous, naked below; spikelets lanceolate, 3—6-flowered; glumes ovate-lanceolate, much shorter than spikelet; lemmas rounded on back, oblong-lanceolate, acute, broadly scarious- margined at top, with white hairs on keel and marginal nerve.
EcologyMeadows. Described from Kamchatka (where it does not occur), Unalaska, and Sitka.
