DescriptionTufted, light green; leaves soft, smooth, flat, abruptly contracted at tip; panicle pyramidal, with spikelets along branches; spikelets yellowish-green, with narrow, acute, unequal, boat-shaped glumes, the lower 1-nerved, the upper 3-nerved; lemmas 5-nerved, glabrous or pubescent on nerves toward base; anthers 0.7 mm long.
EcologyRoadsides, yards; an introduced, mostly annual weed. Described from Europe.
