DescriptionLoosely tufted; culm up to 30 cm tall; leaves 1.5-2 mm wide, glabrous; panicle with glabrous branches, at first erect, later spreading; spikelets 2—-5-flowered, ob- long; glumes obtuse, with the second longer than the first; lemma purplish, ovate, 3-3.5 mm long, indistinctly nerved, blunt, glabrous at base; palea with glabrous keels; anthers 1.3-2.0 mm.
