DescriptionGrayish-green, loosely tufted; leaves 0.75-1.5 mm broad, shorter than culm; spikes 2-3, terminal spikes with staminate flowers at base, lower spikes with pistil- late flowers; bracts scalelike; scales shorter than perigynia, obtuse, brown, with hyaline margin; perigynia oblong, elliptic to lanceolate, distinctly nerved, stipitate, with minute beak; 2 stigmas.
EcologyBrackish marshes. Described from northern Scandinavia.
