DescriptionRhizome with short runners; culms flexuous, triangular; leaves shorter than culm, flat, pale green. Similar to C. bicolor, but terminal spike usually staminate through- out, clavate; lowest bract longer than inflorescence, its sheath lacking dark auricles; perigynia fleshy, translucent.
EcologyMeadows, moist places.
