DescriptionSimilar to subsp. guttatum, but differs in having flowers blotched with yellowish- green; lateral petals terminate with a more or less rounded disk, slightly broader leaves, and larger lip, usually longer than dorsal sepal.

Thought to form hybrid swarms with subsp. guttatum on the southwestern coast. Broken line on maps indicates range of forms more or less intermediate between subsp. Yatabeanum and subsp. guttatum.
