DescriptionTuberoids 2-5-lobed; leaves 2—-5, with or without dark spots, the lower rounded in apex, the upper somewhat acute; bracts broadly lanceolate, often more or less violet-colored, the lower longer than flowers, the upper shorter; flowers violet to purplish, with darker lip, sometimes with darker spots; sepals lanceolate or nar- rowly lanceolate with nearly aristate tip; lip obovate with entire, 3-lobed or dentate tip; spur thick, shorter than lip.
