FamilySalicaceae — APG family: Salicaceae
SynonymsSalix sphenophylla subsp. pseudotorulosa A. Skvortz., Salix torulosa Trautv.
DescriptionSimilar to subsp. arctica and subsp. crassijulis, but young twigs light brown; leaves light green, narrowly oblanceolate, glabrous on both sides; capsules light brown, narrow and acute, somewhat short-pubescent when young, but glabrescent in age; style 1-1.5 mm long. Similar also to S. sphenophylla, which differs in having young capsules com- pletely glabrous. Represents perhaps an introgression between that plant and S. arctica.
