DescriptionStem mostly single from short caudex; basal leaves small, cuneate-obovate, with few to several small teeth, glabrous, ciliate in margin; stem sparsely pubescent; in- florescence with thick, arcuate branches; only the terminal flower is developed, the others being replaced by bulblets or buds; sepals ovate, reflexed in age; petals white or reddish, dimorphic, abruptly clawed, the longer with yellow spots.
EcologyWet, rocky slopes, snow beds, along creeks.
