DescriptionShrub with decumbent or spreading branches; young branches puberulent and glandular; leaves deeply cordate, deeply 5-lobed, the lobes sharply double-crenate- serrate, glabrous above, puberulent and glandular below; racemes erect or ascend- ing, shorter than leaves, puberulent and stipitate-glandular; calyx lobes deltoid, ovate; petals red to purplish; fruit ovoid, purplish-black, glaucous, glandular- bristly, edible.
EcologyMoist woods. Described from the northwest coast of North America.
