DescriptionMatted; branches rhizomatous, with marcescent leaves at base; leaves flabellate, glabrous, with several linear, somewhat acute lobes; flowering stems erect, with smaller leaves; branches of inflorescence pubescent; calyx lobes triangular; petals obovate, white.
EcologyClose to snow in the subalpine or alpine zone. Described from the northwest coast of North America.
