DescriptionPlant with taproot and branching caudex, densely covered with persistent sti- pules; leaves verticillate, in 7-15 fascicles (40-70 leaflets) but fewer in depauperate specimens; leaflets lanceolate, villous; stipules with triangular to acuminate free ends, densely yellowish-villous dorsally; peduncle long-villous; racemes many- flowered; calyx with teeth 24 mm long, long-villous; petals bluish or pinkish to purplish; pods ovoid to oblong, villous.
EcologyDry, sandy, and shaly slopes. Described from the Red River south toward Pem- bina.
