DescriptionStem simple or branched above, glabrous, from stout, many-headed, vertical caudex; basal leaves 2-pinnate to nearly 3-pinnate, with linear to ovate-lanceolate ultimate segments; petioles with broad basal sheaths; umbel with 5-10 rays; petals broadly ovate, white or purplish, with inflexed apex; fruit broadly ovate; 2 lateral ribs of carpels slightly more winged than back ribs.
EcologyMeadows in subalpine or alpine regions.
