Taxonomy
notes
A hybrid representing several combinations of the characters of C. canadensis and C. suecica, especially as regards the size, form, and arrangement of the leaves, the color and pubescence of the flowers, and the length of the styles and stamens. Propagates vegetatively, and has reduced or no fertility. A separate map has been prepared for this hybrid, since its range extends some- what beyond that of C. suecica, as a result of reduction of the range of C. suecica from a presumably larger area in an earlier climatic period to the present smaller area.
