DescriptionShrub, creeping to erect, up to 1 meter tall; stem pilose; leaves ovate to ovate- elliptic, sharply serrulate; flowers in bracteate racemes; calyx glandular-pilose; co- rolla about twice as long as calyx, pinkish; fruit black-purple, fleshy.
EcologyWoods. Described from the mouth of the Columbia River.
UsesThe fruit is edible.
