DescriptionScape mostly shorter than 20 cm; leaves obovate to obovate-lanceolate, short- petiolated, entire or indistinctly dentate, not farinose or weakly farinose beneath; bracts saccate, lanceolate or more or less subulate in apex; calyx often somewhat farinose, cleft to about one-half with somewhat acute teeth; corolla lilac, the tube longer than the calyx, with emarginate lobes.
EcologyMoist places; prefers saline soil.
