DescriptionGlabrous, light green; stem from thin root, simple or branched from base; leaves ovate in 3—4 pairs, white-margined; flowers terminal, solitary; calyx lobes triangular to ovate-triangular; corolla with 4-5 parts, blue with lance-ovate lobes, with ovate notched or entire sinus plates; capsules stipitate, linear-oblong, 8-10 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, mostly included.
EcologyBogs and meadows, in the mountains to at least 2,000 meters. The corolla opens only in bright, sunny weather.
