DescriptionStem puberulent, mostly simple but sometimes strongly branched, erect; leaves lanceolate to linear, entire, sessile, acute; flowers sessile in leafy-bracteate heads; calyx with lanceolate, attenuate lobes; corolla pink or white, of narrow funnel form; capsule ellipsoid.
EcologyAn introduced weed. Described from the banks of the Missouri River.
