DescriptionStem decumbent or ascending; lower leaves ovate to oblong, irregularly dentate, petiolated, the upper ovate to orbicular, sessile; peduncles glandular-pubescent; calyx becoming inflated, with short, broad teeth, the upper longer than others; corolla yellow, with red spots in throat, up to 45 mm long; lower lip much longer than upper, with prominent pubescent palate, nearly closing throat; capsule oblong, obtuse.
EcologyMargins of ponds and streams, wet, rocky slopes; common on the coast, rare in- land. Described from cultivated specimens grown from seeds probably from Un- alaska.
