DescriptionNearly glabrous, brownish; stems several, coarse, with incrassated base; in- florescence longer than stem, bracts scalelike, broadly elliptic to ovate, ciliate; calyx half as long as corolla, with irregular lobes; corolla brownish-red, ciliated in margin; upper lip entire or emarginate, the lower short, 3-lobed; stamens exserted.
EcologyParasitic on the roots of Alnus crispa; in the mountains to at least 1,200 meters. Described from Kotzebue Sound and Siberia.
