DescriptionPlant spreading-hirsute with septate hairs, sometimes with dark cross-walls; stems single or few, from taproot and short caudex; basal leaves oblanceolate, the cauline linear; heads solitary; involucral bracts equal, viscid-glandular and villous; ligules blue, fading pink, sometimes white; pappus double; achenes villous-hirsute.
EcologyRocks, solifluction soil. Described from Porcupine River, Alaska.
