DescriptionMatted; loosely caespitose or with short stolons; basal leaves oblanceolate, ap- pressed-tomentose on both sides; stem leaves several, linear, acute, tipped with flat, brown, scarious appendages, the upper much shorter than the internodes; heads 3-6, the lateral pedunculate, at maturity often exceeding the central heads; tips of involucral bracts broad, blunt, white, in age brown.
