DescriptionGlabrous or nearly so; stem from short caudex with several taproots, scapose, with 1-2 small bracts, often somewhat arcuate; basal leaves narrowly lanceolate, entire or remotely toothed; heads solitary; involucral bracts lanceolate, acuminate, sparsely dark-pubescent; receptacle naked; flowers yellow; pappus brownish, the bristles connected at base, capillary, barbellate.
