| Description | Horizontal stem 5-10 cm. long, rooting at intervals and at tip, strongly anchored in ground, simple or branched, covered with upturned leaves. Fertile stem usually solitary in Alaskan specimens; vegetative and fertile leaves similar, soft, of yellowish-green color; spikes short, 1-2 cm long, erect. | ||
