Description | Rhizome short, ascending, scaly, stipes grooved above, with dark base; fronds 30-80 cm tall, forming crown, yellowish-green, glandular and hoary white on nerves below, abruptly acuminate; pinnae pinnatisect, segments entire, blunt; sori small; indusium lobed, glandular. | ||
Ecology | Open, rocky slopes, reaching subalpine region; not common. | ||
Taxonomy notes | Often sterile in Alaska. Crushed leaves strongly scented. |
