DescriptionDensely caespitose, glabrous; leaves 3-4 mm broad, flat, glabrous; pale green, abruptly acute; panicle open, with few large, purple spikelets at end of flexuous branches; ligules about 2 mm long; glumes unequal, broadly lanceolate, 3-nerved; lemmas 5-nerved, not webbed at base, pubescent on keel and marginal nerve; anthers 0.6-0.7 mm long.
