Description | Forming loose tufts, with long stolons particularly appressed to ground; stolons with short, sprouting, extra-axillary shoots, opposite bases of flaccid leaves; rarely flowering; panicle purplish, glabrous, with 2-3 branches from lower node; spikelets oblong, 3-6-flowered; glumes obtuse, the first 1-nerved, the second 3-nerved; lem- mas oblong, obtuse, obscurely 5-nerved, entire, glabrous; callus hairs absent; keels of palea glabrous; anthers 1.5-2 mm long. | ||
