DescriptionIn Alaska less than 1 meter tall; culms from horizontal rhizome; stem leaves 3—4, shorter than culm, 3—4 mm wide; inflorescence densely compressed, with 1-2 long, involucral bracts; spikelets ovoid; anthers about 4 mm long, long-exserted.
EcologySeashores, probably not native within our area. Broken line on circumpolar map indicates range of var. atlanticus Fern.
