DescriptionTufted, with short rhizomes; culm about 1 mm thick, firm, surrounded by blade- bearing sheaths at base; leaves filiform, shorter than culm; spike lanceolate to ob- long, lobed, with several spikelets with 1 pistillate and 1 staminate flower and with staminate terminal spikelet; stigmas 3.
EcologyCalcareous rocky slopes, heaths; in the mountains to at least 2,000 meters.
