Description | Staminate and pistillate spikes usually on separate plants; culms smooth, often curved, from slender, yellowish-brown rhizome with capillary runners; leaves fili- form, canaliculate; staminate spike linear to lanceolate-linear; pistillate spike ellip- tic or broadly cylindrical, bractless; perigynia oblong-ovate, with short, somewhat serrulated beak, at first erect, in age spreading or reflexed. | ||
