| Description | Caespitose, very coarse and stout, yellowish-green; culms triangular, with con- cave sides, light brown at base; leaves flaccid, 4-10 mm broad; head paniculate- spiciform, dense, yellowish-green, in age brown, spikes with inconspicuous stamin- ate flowers at top and pistillate flowers at base; perigynia 4-5 mm long, strongly nerved, evenly tapering into sharp-edged, serrulated, tridentate beak; teeth of beak reddish-brown. | ||
