DescriptionLoosely caespitose, with thin, yellowish-green runners; culm curved, glabrous; leaves 1-2 mm wide, curved, glabrous; spikes 2—4, the upper staminate, up to 10 mm long, the lateral pistillate, sessile or short-stipitate, few-flowered, 5-10 mm long; lower bract broad at base, subspathulate, as long as inflorescence; scales dark brown, with lighter center, 3-nerved, shorter than perigynia; perigynia elliptical with indistinct beak.
EcologyCoastal salt marshes. Described from Greenland.
