DescriptionPlant grayish-green, with long, slender rootstock; culm glabrous, curved, with purplish, hyaline-margined sheaths at base, surrounded by numerous weak leaves, 1.5-2.5 mm broad, shorter than culm; spikes 3-5, the terminal club-shaped, with pistillate flowers above, the lateral pistillate; scales ovate-lanceolate, acute, dark brown, as long as perigynia, or longer; perigynia yellowish-green, purplish-blotched, ovate to suborbicular, stipitate, with bidentate, dark beak 1 mm long.
EcologySandy places. Described from Baikal.
