Description | Dwarf shrub forming mats; leaves somewhat pubescent beneath when young, glabrous in age, obovate-lanceolate, acute, shiny, with entire margin and veins prominent on both sides, persistent for at least 3 years, the old, skeletonized leaves covering the basal parts; catkins short, upright; bracts rounded to obovate, black, with very long, white hairs; capsules pubescent, sometimes glabrescent in age, with short styles; stamens 2, filaments glabrous. | ||
