Description | Prostrate dwarf shrub; twigs glabrous; leaves ovate, glabrous, entire in the margin, paler beneath; catkins on pubescent, leafy peduncles; bracts ovate, obtuse, light brown, with long, white hairs; capsules short-pedicellated, somewhat pubes- cent when young, later glabrescent, light brown with short style. | ||
Ecology | Alpine regions. Known only from 2 fragmentary specimens, one from Teller and one from Salmon Lake, north of Nome. Further collections desirable. Identification necessarily tentative. |
