DescriptionSimilar to subsp. acutifolia, but differs in having young twigs less densely villous or subglabrous in age; leaves glabrescent, olivaceous, more or less shiny, indistinctly denticulated, elliptic-lanceolate, often glabrous above, yellowish-green; capsules glabrescent.
EcologyDescribed from the Rocky Mountains.
