DescriptionErect, slender, much branched, stellate-villous when young, glabrescent in age, often reddish; leaves linear, cuspidate; spikes 4-8 mm thick, with imbricate, lanceo- late to ovate bracts, the median and upper bract mostly broader than the fruit; fruit with thick, narrow margin.
EcologySandy beaches. Described from the Volga, Prussia, Montpellier.
