DescriptionAnnual, glabrous; basal leaves petiolated, rhombic-ovate to elliptic-obovate; stem leaves connate, forming oblique, suborbicular disk; racemes elongate, sometimes with small bract; flowers more or less verticillate; sepals rounded-ovate or sub- orbicular; petals obovate, setose, clawed, white or pink.
EcologyShady places. Found introduced once at Unalaska; introduced also in Europe, eastern North America, and in the Southern Hemisphere. Described from the west coast of North America.
