DescriptionForms dense, dark-green tufts, with broader leaves in center; stems never rooting at nodes; pedicels straight; sepals with purple margin or purplish spots in margin, usually 4; petals shorter than sepals.
EcologySandy places, snow beds; to about 2,800 meters in the St. Elias Mountains.
