| Description | Matted; stem glandular, at least above, mostly single-flowered; basal leaves narrowly linear, in lowland specimens long, in exposed places short and crowded, blunt, glabrous or sometimes slightly glandular, glabrous or sparsely and shortly ciliated in margin, nerveless; stem leaves shorter and often broader; calyx leaves ovate, oblong, 3-nerved, obtuse, more or less glandular, often purplish in margin; flowers 6-7 mm broad, about 10 mm long; petals white, about twice as long as sepals; capsule one and a half to two times as long as calyx; ripe seeds tuberculate in margin. | ||
