DescriptionGlabrous, dioecious; stem branching, buried in sand; plant fleshy; leaves yellow- ish-green, ovate, oblong or lanceolate, somewhat acute; flowers scattered in upper axils; sepals ovate to lanceolate, acute, about as long as the greenish-white petals; styles 3; capsule globose, longer than sepals, poorly developed in staminate flowers; stamens undeveloped in pistillate flowers.
