Description | Pulvinate, with central taproot; stems branched, densely covered with imbricate leaves; leaves lanceolate to oblong, glabrous, 1-nerved, the lower marcescent; flowers single, short-pedicellated, barely reaching above leaves; sepals oblong-lanceolate acute, 1-nerved, scarious-margined, gibbous; petals lacking or rudimentary; disk scales large, nearly petaloid; capsule ovate-conical, about 2 mm long, as long as sepals, opening with 6 teeth. | ||
