Description | Stem creeping, strongly branched; flowering stems ascending, glandular-puberu- lent; leaves ovate or oblong, acute, glabrous, ciliated in margin; flowers solitary; pedicels glandular; sepals ovate, blunt, often reddish; petals somewhat longer than calyx; stamens as long as, or longer than, petals; capsule spherical, with several deep grooves, inflated, larger than sepals, falling in 3 parts at maturity. | ||
Ecology | Moist, sandy places, gravel bars; common in many areas; in the central Yukon to at least 1,100 meters. |
