DescriptionLoosely caespitose, with thick, many-headed caudex; stems silky-villous, up to 3 dm high; basal leaves 2-3 times ternately divided into narrowly lanceolate, acute lobes; involucral leaves 3; sepals 5-10 mm long, silky on the outside, highly variable in size and color, from yellowish-white to grayish or purplish; fruiting head sub- globose to short-cylindric; achenes woolly, with short beak.
EcologyDry slopes. Described from Magellan Sound.
