Description | Stems single, mostly 1-flowered, glabrous below, hirsute above, with brown hairs; basal leaves divided into 3 segments, which are again 2-5-lobed, the ultimate lobes varying from linear-acute to ovate, somewhat acute, or blunt; cauline leaves hirsute; sepals and petals long-persisting; sepals densely covered with dark-brown, coarse, stiff hairs; petals longer than sepals, at first white, soon dark red. | ||
Ecology | Grassy slopes. R. glacialis described from the Alps of Lapland and Switzerland; subsp. Chamissonis from Anadyr and the Chukchi Peninsula. | ||
