DescriptionSmall plant with vertical caudex; stems ascending, 1-flowered, pubescent with white hairs; radical leaves glabrous, somewhat ciliated in margin, flabelliform to reniform, deeply cleft into 3-5 lobes; upper leaves reduced; pedicels pubescent; sepals and petals 5; sepals yellowish, short-haired; petals 2—4 mm long; achenes about 1 mm long, glabrous, with beak hooked in apex; receptacle cylindric, glabrous.
EcologyMoist places, snow beds in the mountains, to at least 2,000 meters.
