Description | Stem tall, slender, glabrous or somewhat pubescent; basal leaves glabrous or somewhat ciliate, deeply cleft; lateral leaf lobes again cleft into 3 to several lobes or teeth; bracts sessile, divided into linear lobes, forming 2 or 3 verticillate whorls; sepals pubescent, rarely glabrous; flowers highly variable in size, 10-25 cm in diameter; petals longer than sepals; fruit glabrous or (rarely) pubescent. | ||
